HEARTS FULL OF LOVE!

Every year at this time I am reminded of a Christmas not so long ago...

My husband and I sat along side of our five year old son's bed as he underwent a nine hour kidney surgery to end the constant pain and infections that had been plaguing him his entire little life! We were fed a humble Christmas meal put on by the Red Cross Society and sat with other worried parents who shared our thoughts of their precious babies who too lay in hospital beds in BC Children's Hospital!

On Dec 25th, Santa, Mrs Claus and all the Elves brightened the hallways with cheer and sounds of bells and little bedside songs for some very weak and frail bodies. In his big red sack, I kid you not, Santa reached in and handed out handful of toys to each child that lay in the beds! It was truly an amazing sight!!!!

It was that Christmas that I learned that the toys in Santa's sack were all donations from kind folks all around and purchased from funds from the hospital itself so that each little sweet pea would feel the JOY ON CHRISTMAS MORNING! We knew what we had to do!!!!

This is what happens when one single thought goes into action!!! THANK YOU TO KING TRADITIONAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND ALL MY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS WHO HELPED OUR FAMILY FOR THE FIFTH YEAR, FILL THE HOSPITAL'S SHELVES WITH NEW TOYS!!! WE ARE TOUCHED AND GRATEFUL TO ALL OF YOU WHO CARE FOR THE KIDS!

~Love from Joshua Bilson and his Family
