When little girls grow up...

So this is my plan....if I start therapy now, I MAY, just MAY be able to make it through when my kids graduate!! {gulp}

This is Jenn and I was SO EXCITED to be invited to take her grad photos! She is the daughter of Chad and Marni. Sidenote: Marni is my son's piano teacher and there is NOT a better music 'teach' in the world!!! This also happened to be the first time that I had the pleasure of meeting Jenn and she totally blew me away! First of all...can we say STUNNING!!!!! Second, Jenn, you were such a great sport with all my whacky ideas!!! I mentioned to her that I might get carried away with my picture taking and I am embarrassed to say that....YUP, Jenn had to remind me when it was time to go home!

OH, and I must NOT forget Jenn's dog Cola who, I might add, did very well in the shoot!

Burgers for Brittney

So what do you do when Karen Moore asks you to do a favour??? You say, where and when!!!

Meet the most precious and courageous Brittney!!! She is a spunky, gorgeous little eight year old who is undergoing the the battle against cancer right now! Karen and a couple of her friends from Brittney's school decided to throw a "little" fundraiser to help out the family with the gruesome medical costs that can occur when you least expect it! That is where BURGERS FOR BRITTNEY was dreamed up and oh what a night it was!!!

The silent auction.
So guess who won the motor bike(one of the door prizes)??? I am SO NOT KIDDING!! Little Miss Brittney herself!! What a joy it was when her name was drawn for this bike!!!
Oh...and she can sing too....
Daddy's little girl!
So, in conclusion, I was asked to head out and do some photography for this wonderful evening! I thought I was doing everyone the favour......NOT SO! Brittney, the pleasure was all mine!! I am a richer person for having met you! Your zest for life and smile will stay with me always. I wish you a speedy recovery, I KNOW you can do it! Blessings. ~Natalie Bilson

The Wedding of the Century!

Introducing Mr and Mrs Jamie and Lana Hoover! Married June 28th in Edmonton, Alberta.
For those of you who do not have the privilege of knowing her, Lana is my twin. Ok, so we are not related by blood, but for me, we are twins of the heart. I have known Lana since my diaper days and have always felt a deep connection to her. I have always felt her pains and joys throughout her life and to share in this, her wedding day, was truly a great joy for me. Lana has a contagious smile and a sense of humour that will put you in 'depends' long before your time. Here are a few of my favourite shots of their special day......

Why what could possibly break up a kiss from this lovely couple you ask....oh..just a TRAIN COMING DOWN THE TRACKS!!! Jeesh, how's a gal supposed to do a photoshoot!!!

This photo should have a "viewer discretion" title by it.....hee!

Meet the most adorable children, Carly , Kris, Gavin and Sam! These gorgeous four belong to Lana and Jamie and I must say that I was so thrilled to have met them and I only wish that my suitcase was bigger so that I was able to smuggle them all home with me! You guys are absolute GEMS!

This photo was taken at midnight and would you just look at how beautiful the two of them still sparkle. I on the other hand am on the other side of the camera for a very good reason!!My deepest Thanks to the entire Hoover family for inviting me to share in their day, it was a true honour for me. Jamie, I am not easily impressed, but I loved you from our first hand shake. I look so forward to watching you all grow together in love!
